From Pickle Jar to Factory: The Journey of Savita Ben

It started with just 5kg of mangoes and a family recipe. Savita Ben, a resident of Navsari, used to sell pickles to her neighbors. But demand grew, and she lacked the capital to buy raw materials in bulk.

Through the Namo Nari Abhiyan loan assistance program, she secured a Micro-Mudra loan of ₹50,000. This capital allowed her to buy a mechanized mixer and bulk packaging materials.

The Impact

Today, "Savita Taste" is sold in 15 supermarkets across Surat. More importantly, she now employs 20 other women from her village, giving them financial independence.

"Digital literacy was my biggest fear," says Savita Ben. "But the Namo Nari team helped me get my FSSAI license and listed my products on Amazon."
